I am a Somatic Coach specializing in life transitions. I work with clients to build strength and resilience and begin to rediscover themselves. My techniques are a combination of mindfulness meditation and inquiry to re-establish equilibrium in a body. We then touch into the edges of stronger emotion and feeling to bring awareness and release to the tension and energy held there. This is done with movement and breathwork. Every session is different and collaborative. My goal is to hold space for you to find your way back to your body and forward into a future with more ease. I have a special interest in helping clients manage unexpected life changes and anxiety with awareness, acceptance, and coping techniques.
“Your relationship with change will define your life
If you reject it, you will struggle
If you accept it, it will inspire you to be more present
And to live without holding back”
- Yung Pueblo
I came to somatic work after a lifetime of living in my brain and not by body. This disconnect resulted in a successful life that did not feel good. I knew I was achieving but I was missing the day to day joys in life and my relationships suffered. My anxiety began to impact my ability to function fully and I turned to cognitive behavior therapy, but it wasn’t until I stumbled upon mindfulness that I was able to put those skills to use and make the therapy more effective. When it became apparent that the marriage to my first and only love was in danger, I had to find a way to learn to find safety within myself and begin to build resilience. I could see this with my brain, but the big positive changes happened when I incorporated somatic work into the traditional therapies that I had been using. This was key for me to unlock what was missing from my growth journey! I have found it to be true that your greatest challenge can be your greatest gift. I am now so thankful that I have re-discovered myself and the strength and knowledge within my body. It makes me excited for the future!
I believe in creating a safe space for you to look within yourself and allow that to move you forward in life.
